2018
Carolina Homeschool Cougars founded in the Spartanburg area with a focus on baseball and basketball programs.
2019
Expanded to include 35 student-athletes across baseball, basketball, and cross country programs.
2020
Adapted programs during challenging times, maintaining competitive excellence and team unity.
2021
Achieved regional recognition in baseball and established strong coaching foundation.
2022
Reached 75 student-athletes and won first conference championship in basketball.
2023
Continued growth with emphasis on character development and academic excellence.
2024
Strengthened programs and began discussions for organizational expansion and partnership.
2018
Upstate Eagles established as a premier homeschool athletic organization serving the greater Upstate region.
2019
Launched comprehensive soccer and track & field programs with 40 student-athletes.
2020
Maintained competitive programs while prioritizing student-athlete safety and development.
2021
Added volleyball program and achieved state tournament appearances in multiple sports.
2022
Grew to 80+ student-athletes and established scholarship fund for deserving athletes.
2023
Won multiple state championships and became known for excellence in track & field.
2024
Explored merger opportunities to better serve homeschool athletics in South Carolina.

The Carolina Homeschool Cougars and Upstate Eagles officially merged to form the Spartanburg Flames, combining the best of both organizations to create a premier homeschool athletic program serving over 200 student-athletes.

Launched unified programs across baseball, basketball, soccer, cross country, track & field, and volleyball with expanded coaching staff and facilities.

Established new headquarters and training facility, bringing together decades of combined experience and tradition.
